Joss West was fonded by Bill Stroud after he left Joss Cues in 1972. The production base moved around the United States and finally settled in New Mexico in 2000. Joss opened markets to not only North America, but also China and Japan, and soon became popular. Joss West mainly uses premium wood from North America such as maple, black wood, red sandal wood to provide strength and stableness. The design is usually a retro American design with sharp edges and ivory inlay.
